JUST ANNOUNCED --- TFSA 2023 Limits

 The CRA has just announced the new TAX FREE  SAVINGS ACCOUNT LIMIT FOR 2023 $6500 FOR 2023 IF YOU HAVE NOT CONTRIBUTED TO A TAX  FREE SAVINGS THE TIME TO START IS NOW! About the TFSA Since 2009, the Canadian government has set a maximum amount that qualified Canadians can contribute to their TFSA every year, regardless of income. ·          Every year, your TFSA announces new contribution limits. ·          Unused TFSA contribution room can be carried forward indefinitely to future years. ·          Watch your contribution amounts because, if you contribute more than the total allowed, the over-contribution amount will be subject to a steep tax penalty. ·          Any withdrawals you take from your TFSA are added to your TFSA contribution room limit in the following year...

I know, easier said than done! You are absolutely right, but you can change your mindset, put a smile on your face, it's going to be ok!  Our mindset controls us, but time will heal us.  I remember one Friday night, it was about 7pm, and I was feeling down and sad, tears were streaming my face. I was missing the Neighbours and hanging out around the fire with appies, (YES we hold memories of our old life... your old friends, your home, your back yard....  but there is a field of opportunity just waiting for us to open our minds to it)      We feel alone, we have lost many friends, and now we don't know where to start, our bank account reads $275, now what? We can barely afford gas for our car.  Be positive, look on the bright side, you still have a car and now it's all yours! Today I would like to write about starting over after divorce and how to get your investment mindset in gear!  If you are like me and recently divorced, then you will understand this! "It's a mind-blowing financial shock when you realize you have ONLY YOU!"  There is no longer a back- up bank account!  There is No other person to support you when you have to stay home sick and can't afford the medications! Why?
